Filter mats are now available from the “coalsi” brand, which specifically combat certain odour generators.
Until now, filters have been considered effective against odors from wastewater plants, for example, as proven by independent studies. The hybrid system is decisive for this: Several filter modules attack the odour molecules from all sides — mechanically, biologically, chemically.
In the “coalsi” bio-module, “odor-eating” organisms have been implanted, which react to widespread odour generators such as hydrogen sulphide or ammonia. They come from our own biotech laboratory. “With the new modules, we are taking targeted action against other issuers,” says Ulrich Bethge, application specialist at the company. As examples, he cites unusually high levels of H2S or strong odors, such as those caused by fats. If appropriate action is required, the filters should be equipped with these modules. Customers could make the switch on their own.
The filter systems are available for installation in street sewers or pipes. Large filters for high volumes are also available in municipal, agricultural and industrial sectors. If one filter module is not enough, several can be operated serially or in parallel. The filter modules are not harmful to human, plant or animal pathogens and are therefore considered harmless to health.
